Eastern Farmers Coop is committed to providing their customers with Precision Ag services. With over 10 years of In House experience we have the equipment, knowledge, and people to get the most out of every acre.
Grid Soil Sampling
Grid sampling breaks a large field into smaller fields typically 2.5 to 5 acre grids and provides a precise report on fertility levels throughout the field. Each sampling location is geo-referenced for future evaluation.
Field Mapping
Each field that is grid sampled is mapped out with recommended fertilizer rates for each grid depending on fertility goals. Zone mapping to create management zones can also be done depending on your goals and objectives. Our program can be customized for your farming operation to meet your specific precision ag needs.
Variable Rate Application
With the use of a Soilection machine we can vary the rate of one to six products at up to 200 different rates at any given time. Products are spread following mapped recommendations determined by grid/zone sample results, yield potential, yield goal and fertilizer program goals. We currently have 3 6 product soilection machines, 2 2 product machines, and many single product machines. We have committed much money, time, and effort into having the best equipment and precision program to service our trade area.
Yield Mapping
Yield mapping is an important tool in determining the performance of a field. Yield maps can find the variability in a field and help identify areas of the field that need more or less nutrients or seed. Eastern Farmers Coop can help create and evaluate yield-mapping data to make better management decisions. Eastern Farmers has the software programs to process yield maps from any type of combine.
Remote Imaging
Eastern Farmers Coop is working with the R7 Tool. Through the R7 tool we have the ability to pull previous satellite images from the past 20 years of every field in the area at your request. These images can be used to interpret field variability and make planting and nutrient decisions. We also have access to in season satellite images that can be used to make variable rate nitrogen application in crop.
Variable Rate Planting
EFC has the capabilities to create variable rate planting maps for almost all types of planters. We can use multiple sources of info to create these maps such as yield maps, soil type maps, remote images, organic matter maps, yield potential maps, etc. These maps along with the customer and agronomists knowledge of the field can be used to customize a variable rate planting program for each customers farm.
